Just one ordinary mom , just one ordinary day

Welcome to our life

Resolutions or not the new year is almost here

on December 29, 2012

As 2012 comes drawing to a end and we look forward to what a new year can bring, we reminisce what the last year has brought and make resolutions for the new.
Looking back we remember the fun but also the hardships the last year has brought. Our family has gone through it fair share of ups and downs . It started with a bang last year when H had to be brought to the emerge via ambulance due to severe breathing issues. That week in the hospital was hard wondering what was wrong with our little girl and if there would ever be a break. Iwas the fourth time she had been hospitalized due to breathing issues. Looking back today it wasn’t the last time she was in the hospital but it wasn’t t be the norm for the year . H grew stronger and so did her lungs . Thankfully there was only one more hospitalization after the new year.
Dear hubby and I also celebrated the birthdays of all our children as well as our own . We celebrated our anniversary which we were thankful to the LORD for . Looking back we have so much to be thankful for.
We went on vacation and had a blast the three oldest learned how to fish . We had some pretty priceless moments that week. N started grade 1 and M started J/k . Fr the first little while it was weird having two children out of the house for the majority of the day
We also had our share of set backs. Struggling a to get a diagnosis for T as well as Z having issues with his health. Cut backs at DH work also led to changes that weren’t for the better for our family .
But through the good and the bad the LORD was there with us, guiding us , caring for us .
And as we look to the new year we will make new memories .
I’m not one to make a New Years resolution because there is no better day then today to start resolving. I truly believe that change needs to start the moment you relize there is a problem an too seek a resolution right away. But If I had to make a list this is what it would be:
1. To spend more time in devotion to God.
2. To have more patience with everyone
3. To show Christ love in me at every opportunity
4. To do more with my children and husband
5. To have a clean house all the time
6. To invent a robotic system that does the laundry including folding and putting away… Ok so this one will never happen but there’s wishful thinking right.
Who knows what a new year will bring but I do know this for sure. No matter what I do or where I go I pray and know that the LORD will always see me through .
Happy new year everyone.

“Ask and Ye shall receive” So please pray with me, “Dear gracious Lord, could we add just 2 more hours in our day, and I promise, my house will be always clean.”

Enjoyed your post, trust that T and Z are doing well. God bless and keep you.
